How to copy xbox games easily

Here is how to copy xbox games to make backup copies in case the original gets scratched, lost, or destroyed.   Learning how to copy xbox 360 game for personal use is not illegal but it can be a bit more complicated than just putting your game DVD in your computer and trying to make a copy like you would a music or data cd.  The game manufacturers have purposely made it difficult to make exact 1:1 copies that are playable because of piracy concerns.  The manufacturers don’t want you to know how to copy original xbox games.  They have installed copyright protection files which are impossible for your computer to read without some special game copying software that gets around these protections and allows your computer to read correctly and thus make an identical 1:1 copy of your favorite xbox 360 games.  This software will also copy ps2 games , ps3,  Wii, and PC games.

I needed to know how to backup xbox games because I was tired of spending a fortune replacing my originals which were getting worn out or damaged from the chaos of having pets and children.  After trying several things and some software which did not work I finally figured out how to copy xbox games that were a perfect 1:1 match.  So here is exactly how to make backup copies of xbox 360 games.

You will need several things in order to copy xbox 360 games:

1) You obviously need the original xbox 360 game.

2) A PC with a DVD burner.

3) A dual layer blank dvd.  It must be dual layer or this process will not work!

4) Game copying software to get around the copyright protection.

First you must download and install the software to your computer.

Next you will insert the original game disc into your computer and using the software copy the original game disc contents to your hard drive.

Next you want to replace the original game disc with the writeable dual layer dvd and then use the software to burn the game contents to the new disc.

This process can take up to 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the game files and the specs of your PC.  You will not have to mod your xbox in order to play the copied version. You used to have to install a special chip inside your xbox so that you can play the copied versions but that is no longer the case.  I highly recommend the  Game Copy Wizard software.  It has worked perfectly for me and they offer outstanding customer support and even have a 60 day money back guarantee.

So that is how to copy xbox 360 games to your hard drive and how to copy xbox 360 games to dvd.  Just be sure to take your time and read the instructions from the software carefully and you should not have any problems copying xbox games.

How to copy xbox 360 games the hard way

Here’s how to copy xbox games the hard way.  First you will need 5 basic things in order for this to work.

1. An ethernet crossover cable to connect your xbox to your computer
2. Software that can convert the xbox files on the original game into .ISO files
3. Compatible software for copying your favorite xbox games
4. The correct type of media to copy your games to
5. A mod chip for your xbox so that you can play copied xbox games.
Step by step directions on how to copy xbox 360 games.

The first thing that you need to do is copy all the files from your original xbox game to the hard drive on your computer.  You will need the ethernet cable to do this.

Next you need to convert all of these files into what are called .ISO files so that your game copying software can burn them for you onto a CD or DVD.  You can find this software online. Just do a quick search for game copying software and make sure that it is designed to copy xbox games.

Next you need to use your game copying software which will show you how to burn xbox games and how to backup xbox games.  The only media that works for this is dual layered dvds.  So be sure that you purchase the dual layered ones.  The xbox can read and of the following formats: DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW and CD-RW.

Okay now comes the really tricky part.  You are going to have to literally install a  mod chip into your xbox.  This of course requires opening the xobx console which will void your warranty.  What the mod chip does is change the BIOS of your xbox to allow you to play copied versions of games by overwriting Microsoft’s security measures.  Installing these mod chips may or may not require soldering some wires.  If you choose this route then be sure that the chip you are purchasing  will support whatever version of xbox you have.  If you purchase an incompatible chip this mod will not work and you will end up with a dead xbox which will not play any games.

So in a nutshell that is how to make backup copies of xbox 360 games.  This method is quite tedious and not recommended for the technically challenged.  It involves taking apart your xbox 360 and doing some hard wiring to your console which will not only void the warranty but could potentially ruin your xbox if not done correctly.

Fortunately there is a much easier way to learn how to copy xbox games,  how to copy ps2 games,  how to copy ps3 games, or even Wii games.

How to copy xbox games

If you want to learn how to copy xbox games then you have come to the right place.  Copying all your favorite xbox games is not as simple as putting your game in your computer and then trying to burn a copy on your dvd or cd burner.  The game manufacturers have made it very difficult to make copies of your favorite games.  I have enjoyed playing video games for over 30 years starting with the original pong games back in the 70’s.  Now I have a family so I can’t game as often as I would like.  With kids, dogs and other chaos going on around my house I needed a way to make copies of my favorite games.  Some of my favorite games had been scratched, stepped on,  had drinks and food spilled on them. or even chewed up!   I was getting tired of  spending money to replace my favorites but could not figure out how to make an exact copy of my xbox 360 games.  The video game manufacturers have developed clever ways of copyright protection to discourage people from making copies.  This is reasonable since software piracy is a huge business.  I didn’t want to learn how to burn xbox games to sell,  I only wanted copies that I could use to play and store the originals in a safe place where they couldn’t be damaged.  That way if the copied version of the game was damaged I could either just make another copy or pull out the original to play.

Well it turns out that unless you want to open up your xbox and do some tedious modifications to your system then you will need some special xbox game copying software to make an exact copy of your favorite xbox 360 games.  Check out this cool website to learn more about how to copy xbox games.
